Nanta Show
Myeongdong Theatre
The ever-popular Nanta show has run continuously in Seoul since 1997. It has also been staged in 18 countries around the world for good reason. Nanta is entertaining in every language, because there are almost no words. The story centers around three chefs attempting to finish preparing a wedding banquet, when the manager’s incompetent nephew enters to cook up some trouble in the kitchen. The show highlights some traditional Korean samul nori music, performed with improvised instruments like utting boards, water canisters and kitchen knives.
